Sputnik Writer

    Job Description

    Sputnik Writers report to one or more Section Editors, and are responsible for producing original written content for the paper. The writer is expected to: grasp advanced functions of the English language, including grammar and spelling; have a keen eye for news-worthy content and interesting story leads; attend bi-weekly staff meetings; be familiar with all policies and codes related to WLUSP and the Sputnik shortly after being hired; make all revisions to his or her content as requested by section editors, and; create original, journalistically-sound written content for exclusive publication in the Sputnik newspaper or on thesputnik.ca.
