Hiring: Ad Manager

Wilfrid Laurier University Student Publications is looking for a highly motivated, forward and innovative individual with sales experience who would be responsible for advertising sales for the WLU student newspaper, planner, magazine, yearbook, web and radio station.

Responsibilities

• Soliciting advertisements at both local and national level,
• Keep an up-to-date filing system for all transactions,
• Liaise with the finance manager and monitor accounts receivable,
• Liaise with the editors-in-chief, program manager/distribution manager to make sure all run sheets/art work/deadlines are met.

Requirements

The position will require the successful candidate to:

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Demonstrate an abilty to work in a not-for-profit, volunteer based organization,
• Have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure,
• Possess computer skills and knowledge of Adobe CS4,
• Possess strong professional integrity, a positive disposition, outstanding team spirit and a passion for excellence,
  
• Have experience in some or all print, web and radio advertising,

• Have access to a vehicle and be fully licensed,
• Be capable of utilizing social media.

Knowledge of website development and/or design would be a bonus.
