Radio Laurier History

1969
Radio Lutheran, the precursor to Radio Laurier, is founded.

1979
The station’s license is revoked due to the high cost of fixing faulty equipment.

1984
A first year computer student seeks to revive the station, seeking financial support from WLUSU.

December 2008
WLUSU announces its intent to no longer support Radio Laurier financially.

January 8th, 2010
Radio Laurier re-launches under the banner of WLUSP.
